summer commute (good weather), weekends.

front runner has been R6, just want to here some other options. some friends have been throwing letters and numbers at me all week, but i can't keep them straight.
i would go for a yamaha r6 or suzuki gsxr 600cc or 750cc. it all really depends on your budget. For around $6000.00 you can get alot of decent bikes around 2004-2007 year models. Do you have ur M1 yet?

i think it depends on your size .. i am 6'2 190lbs and the gsxr 750 was WAY to small for me .. just need something with a little more bulk so i dont feel like fat man on a pony ..

but then i went with a cruiser and not a sport bike and solved the problem that way :-p

Nantucket-Is that a photo-chop or, is your grass 6 inches deep there? All the way up to the rims eh?

start small then upgrade to a bigger bike... id get a gxr or ninja

I was in ur shoes about a year and a half ago...what to get?..how big? i ended up getting an 05 gsxr 600 (suzuki) Great bike and if u accidently roll off the throttle ..which u will if ur new..it wont thro u on ur back as fast as a 1000 cc would..trust me get a 600 then after u have had some road under ur belt then go for raw power..if not u will have a thrashed bike.

I will definitely disagree with the fact that you need anything bigger than a 600 for your first bike. I personally like the 600 GSXR over the R6.

Get a buell :headbang2

I picked this up last year for $2500 w/ 45oo miles on her. Its not as fast in the straights against a rice rocket but in the twisties they dont stand a chance. Its the most nimble bike I've ever owned.

Buells sell real cheap too.
