Your hornwort and anacharis can be grown very well as floating plants. My daughters 10 gallon is literally full of it. Not a piece is planted.

I tried planting them, but they're floating now thanks to the fish, lol! Most of those guys in the tank don't like light, so I almost never turn on the light. The tank gets some indirect sunlight. I was hoping that since those are very hardy and low light plants, it would work out fine, but those plants look horrible. I kind of want to remove them, but I'm being lazy about it, lol!
i remember i had an ornate close to 2' and id laugh because he loved to try to hide in a lil amazon sword.
i remember an old friend had a ornate and hed hide in the fake plants in the tank unless i was over. then hed come ot real shy to say hi, not with the exexuberance of the senegal though
