I'm in the market for a new heater... right now the three that I was looking at are the
-Eheim Jagar 300w. Found out this may be overkill, as they seem pretty efficient, but I can't find the 200w on Amazon, and no LFS carries them...

-Fluval 300w digital. Digital readout, protective cage around it, square shape, can mount readout facing any direction...

-Aqueon 300w. Cheapest of the bunch, still read good things about them.

Right now it's not critical as my house temp goes up when I'm at work (programmable thermostat). But here in the next month or two, I'll be letting it drop down to about 64F while I'm at work, and will definitely need a heater then. Which is the best of the three? Or is there a better option for not a ton of cash more?

Thanks!

yep. i have gone through a lot of heaters but the only heater I have ever got that last was jagers.

+1 for the eheim.I have the 300 watt in my 75, 1 in the 90.they were replacements for older/broken heaters.running for 6 months so far seems good, made solid

Thumbs up on the Aqueon...

I run Aqueon pro's in all of my tanks, they don't stand out, they seem to be able to take a beating, they're super cheap and every one that I've ever bought is still working.

MarineDepot has Jager. They have a location here in Socal but they could ship it to u. Very legit company.
So far ive used ViaAqua 50-200W, cheap and accurate. Stay away from 300W though.
