i really like marbled but read that they can get 30"? maybe im wrong... But yeah I would absolutely love to get a giraffe its just that Im pretty sure Ive seen someone here with a 36" giraffe in his tank, which scared me away from them. and gulpers are a no sincei like to keep other fish, lol. I will have to look up a jaguar and i have never really cared for pim cats, they look kind of blah in my opinion. Great help guys any more suggestions? So far im stuck between marble and giraffe, depending on whether anyone can show me there true suzes, and ill have to research more to see just how big they get. Anyone care to share how big their giraffes and marbled cats are and how old? Thanks!!

Tigrinus, Juruense, Sorubim Lima and Hemisorubim Platyrhynchos (if you can find one, I have been trying for like 2 years and cant) should all work, all get less than 2' ,all are smaller than giraffe and marbled, which as far as I am concerned get to big eventualy.

Thats for the larger catfish anyway, of coarse there are loads of small cats, ornates, plecos, corydoras lol, etc.

I have 2 Limas in my 180 6x2x2 and theyre fine, also have a Juruense growing on in a 4 foot to go in at a later stage and after lots of research and threads on here they are fine in a 6x2x2, and are also imo a stunning looking fish.

If you are flush get a Tigrinus.

Woops, double post. Sry.

Marbleds=way too huge. I have seen pics of this guy holding one that was atleast a 30 pounder that he caught wish I could find the pic. Stick with the smaller growing giraffe catfish...

tigs, jurs, irwini (have recently seen a buddy's and became a fan)

i would go for blot catfish, vulture catfish , Cephalosilurus fowleri , Cephalosilurus apurensis, Cephalosilurus nigricaudus

Man i would friggin kill for a Megalodoras irwini, I keep kicking myself for not getting a 15 year old + raphael cat at a LFS that was like 10 inches!! I will look into tigrinus and juruense thanks guys
