1 fish 2 fish red fish blue fish

I am making a simple planted tank that will have black estes marine sand and cherry shrimp. and plants, obviously. I need help deciding on what fish would not eat too many of the baby cherry shrimp and would do swell in the tank. Larger fish are out of the equation.

Fish needs to be red to match my shrimpies. I used to have a huge school of glass bloodfin tetras, but this time I'm looking for a fish that's more red. I've seen cherry barbs, red rainbow, red platy, red swordtail, etc and would like some advice on the best choice. Let me know if you have any questions about my tank. tia.

Serpae tetras will work.

yeah, they are quite good in a shoal. Maybe not the red your looking for but...
I have some red tailed glass fish that are pretty cool, and when they dart around you just see flashes of bright red. Neat little dithers those.

neon tetras or "the glow in the dark" zebra danios? u could also try the bright orange/red swordtails.

what about those red neon tetra type things<cant rem name sorry

cherry barbs look pretty sweet in a planted tank. i even know somebody that has a planted tank with cherry barbs and shrimp

cardinal tetras have blue in them. i already ruled out the serpae, but maybe if i see some in person it might change my mind.

question about those "gitd" zebra danios- are those dyed fish? don't want any of those now, do we.

Serpae's have been the best I have found for medium to small planted tanks. If that doesn't work for you, you could look at scarlet badis.
