Recommend me a red fish

as my luck would have it, i saw some of the deepest red mollies today as well as red velvet swordtails. i guess mine were just red swordtails that look red-orange and not so much pure red.

i'm seriously considering returning my swordtails and getting those deep, rich red mollies or even the other swordtails. they'd be the same price (but diff store).

are mollies at all aggressive? they do have rather wide/large mouths and i would be worried about them eating my cherry shrimp babies.

my new ideal fish would be a red sailfin molly, but does anyone know if mollies will be fine with shrimp in the tank?

also, my swordtails don't really have a sword. they're not females though, since they have the sword-shaped gonopodium that their name really comes from. do swords develop as they mature? right now the top and bottom of their tails are about the same lengths.

This is what all 3 of mine look like tail wise. are they male? female? special kind of swordtail? notice how the first pic either has 1 tail extension for the male, and none for the female. but my fish have two of them. it's confusing the heck out of me.
