I AM STARTING A JD TANK AT 120 GALLONS AND I AM JUST WONDERING WHAT FILTER/HEATERS YOU WOULD RECOMMEND. I HAVE A SMALLER 40 GALLON APPROX NOW WITH AN AQUACLEAR UP TO 50 GALLONS, AIR PUMP AND A 200 WATT HEATER.

I run a HOB, sponge, and canister on all my large tanks

If it were me I'd go with these..
For the HOB I'd go with a marineland 400 or a ac110
The largest sponge filter you can find (hydro5)
and any canister filter you want rated for 90+ gallons I'd just go with a cheapo cascade filter or if you can afford it fluval 303/404.

you could do without the canister filter and just get two hang on backs, its up to you.

here is a link to some $45 ac110's which is by far the cheapest deal you will ever see on good HOB's.

two of them will filter that tank fine.

I HAD A FX-5 WHEN I HAD IT SET UP IN THE PAST BUT I SOLD IT..ARE THEY ANY GOOD.

yeah they're probably the best canister filter around but not after the price tag. If I had a fx5 I would run a HOB anyways. I just don't trust tanks with 1 filter because if one turns off and all the media dies you're screwed.

here is the best deal I've seen on them.

I'm not trying to be mean. Maybe you aren't familiar with internet/forums. But when you type in all caps it usually means you are screaming at us. I don't really mind it, but some people will find it rude and not help.
