I want to get an eel or two for my 125 fowlr but since my first 2 choices I can't get due to availability and cost:P skeletor and Hawaiian dragon. Any suggestions? I really like the look of zebras and white mouths. Id prefer to stay away from the normal snowflakes unless i can find a really pretty rare locality like a balinese for cheap. The smallest fish in the tank will be a few Australian stripey or striped squirrelfish. I've chosen my fish selections based off of them having natural defenses against predators so I could have an eel or two. So I'm not too worried about the eels going after the fish. Any thoughts?

I have a zebra in my 125g and he has been a model citizen. I feed shrimp and whatever other seafood is on sale. Which ever eel you pick I suggest using PVC to construct a tunnel for the eel to use.

Okay. Does anybody know anything about yellow heads or goldentails? I'd like to get a gymnothorax species if possible I just like the look of them with the big jowls and tall fin. I've heard white mouths only bother really slow small fish like chromis and gobies. The only fish that isn't spined/venomous in the tank will be a kole tang and harlequin tusk but they both are big enough I'm not worried about them.

Goldentails are very attractive, small, and not too aggressive..yellowheads don't get big either, but very aggressive. However assuming spines and such will protect your fish from eels is not a sure thing with large piscivorous eels
