Recommendations for Native fish for a 300+ gallon tank (I would say keep in mind this would happen in a few years)

so would some madtoms, creek chubs, pumkinseeds, and maybe a rock bass work
and if so where would I find a rock bass as I have looked for them and have never found any
Edit: and maybe some darters of some kind
Edit2: I just realized that Jonahs aquariums has northern hog suckers and white suckers any possibility of that? I assume not because they get a fair size and school

If you have flow, madtoms and darters would work. You kinda need to pick. Darters or sunfish. Depending on dimensions, Rock Bass would be good. Sunfish don't like flow. Creek Chub can tolerate anything. Hogsuckers would work, though they like a bit of salt.

So now the stock list.

You could have a madtom or 2 with a darter colony and some creek chub, though I would be cautious because they can get 12 inches.

2 Rock Bass
15 topminnows

I know nothing about hogsuckers besides that they like a bit of salt and they are like flounder.

You could do some sunfish. Depends on what food you would feed.

Gimme some context. What do you envision? What food would be available? What are the dimensions? Do you plan to have plants?

I would also like to add not only do Darters like the Rainbow Darter loves strong current they will not thrive in a warm house. Personally had a group of 6 but when my central air conditioner died I started to lose the Darters. I kept them on the 2nd floor. Tbh the basement of the home would have been better for them imo because it was cooler.

I would do a bluegill, 2 yellow perch and maybe a warmouth with some dither fish like shiners. I don’t know if shiners do good in aquariums though. They always die in a livewell.
