This is pretty much exactly what I am thinking!?!? No one can believe anyone anymore? Some of the replies in the last couple pages have just been pathetic. Sarcasm is hard to read on the internet!

Great catch man, I wish I had a pond like that to fish out of! I am jealous!
 
The picture is legit. If taken with a fish leaning forward the camera, that is how the size will show. It is highly believable it is a double digit, easily. Nice fish...:D

Thanks everybody!! I hope I can post some more giant large mouth pictures. I have got two other water ways that I'm managing to produce giant large mouths. :popcorn: To see results requires a lot of time though:popcorn:. Keep your figures crossed.:D

Ira is kind of doing a Roland Martin (holding the fish out and away from his body). However to have a good estimate of how big the fish is look at Ira's hand compared to the mouth. That fish could possibly fit two fist in its mouth. One fist (or a fister) is normally a 5 pounder and over.

Actually being a small water way I know this fish (just had not caught it in a long while). This fish is one I stocked as brood stock for the Florida strain bass when it was officially weighted a 7 pounds. That was about in 2001 when it was 21 inches. Officially the weight is guess until I use the length girth formula.

LOL just got a lot of grief about posting something neat.:irked::nilly::irked: I think Ira got that fish on a senko. That pond really is a dream spot as far as farm ponds go. It is 12 acres and on the south end has 5 acres of 20 foot water. Monster bass heaven.

GREAT bass man, i'd rather catch one like that than one with just a huge fat stomach haha, my biggest of 2010 was around 5lb-10oz, i'm still looking for a monster hole around here to pull in something like this, i've caught probably a couple dozen bass 6+ pounds but never a 10+ of my own. When I was 8 my dad caught a 10 lber on a bluegill but we can't fish there anymore, got kicked out too many times haha it was in the woods at a YMCA
 
I caught up to Ira the angler who caught the fish and it was actually 28.5 inches long and actually longer than the 18 pounder that was caught out of New Melones. He did not have a girth when I asked as they did a jimmy rigged system of measuring this fish with some string. That is the final word on the measurement of this large mouth.
