The unofficial World Record Bass that weighed 25 pounds caught out of Lake Dixon if my information is accurate was only 27 inches. Meaning my fish is a longer fish than an unofficial World Record (unofficial because it was caught foul hooked). That fish was unbelievably fat compare to the fish out of the ranch pond.

Here's a picture.

There was a fish caught in japan last year that tied perrys record....

The 25 pounder is still much bigger than the Japanese and Perry's World Record bass.

But dottie is dead, no more dottie to break the world record. Maybe some day, another 25 pounder might come out from Dixon Lake again. There are multiple 15lbs up to low 20's being caught there. ;)

Here is a treat tidbit for you lunker bass hunters here in California. My UC Davis fisheries professor said Fish and Game electo shocked 3 20 plus pound fish out of Lake Berryessa in 2007 alone. As well a recent a report of a giant (well over 20lbs) out of the California Delta.

There are older fish stories as well about a decade ago a 25 pounder was electro shocked out of Clear Lake.

Here's a fish that if officially weighed would have been a World Record. It was reported to be 24 pounds. It was an older catch from a small water way.
