Recoverable?

Shrimp is good, but vary the diet of course. I'm told that just shrimp alone can reduce the availability of thiamine. At this point he needs all of the nutrients he can get!

One step at a time! :)

1) Feeder Goldfish to start his appetite
2) Bait Fish to fatten him up
3) Converting dead / frozen food
4) Pellets

Comes to think of it, this is my 3rd ST (oddball CT) I am trying to save from starvation :)

Damn...poor fish was in terrible condition.What the Hell was the deal with whoever had it anyhow?.Good luck and hoping it does not lose it's eye.

Be careful not to feed too much too fast. Fatting up fish that malnourished is a lengthy process. I've killed plenty of fish by letting them gorge while they were on the brink of death.
 
Despite best effort, it just passed away!

No more saving datnoids from now on, it's just too depressing & helpless to see them taking their last breath...

Sorry for your loss. Looking at the pictures, talk about neglect.. next time, definitely make sure buyers are committed to keeping them.
