I like how you're freehanding them. It looks good. My touch pad wont let me freehand. I have to do it all with the strait line/curve line feature. Takes foooorever.

ANybody out there use a pen pad before? Thy're freakin awesome. My brother had one. Makes animating on the comp easy. I want one baad.

if i had a pen pad, they'd look so much better. I'm 100% free handing these with a mouse. i look up pictures for reference but i don't trace, i free hand.

yours are actually really good too. if you're not tracing or anything, you're probably good with a pencil. i can draw pretty good. i'm no gifted artist but i'm way above average

Thanks. And yeah, I'm not tracing. I put the picture up on the screen, then side by side I try and replicate. Its not easy on this tiny laptop. But I know about the paint cheating trick. I just dont feel comfortable using it. I wouldnt be able to say that I did it, even though I traced it, know what I mean. Not as satisfying.

Here's what I'm into. Kind of a black and white abstract. Some more abstract than others. I mix it up. Some detailed and fine lined, others wider. This one isn't quite abstract, but it will definitely be different. I'll be stretching some things, skewing, mixing, throwing in some stuff. It should be a good one. What you see is pretty much portrait style, but it'll start getting weirder as I move on, trust me, lol. I've sketched out the rough draft. I'm doing it on poster board with sharpie. I'de show you a pic of something completed, but all of my peaces are in storage. Oh and I'm using members fishes for reference.

sorry if I derailed.

I forgot to add, this is the first one I've done that's aquatic and has portrait elements in it. Most everything I do is from the mind and involve more abstract images.

looks good bro. all i've ever done is use pencil to draw.

anyways, here's another one I'm sure everyone would like

Nice! I see you started using the line/curve feature. It makes it look alot better imo.
Try something famous involving a clint eastwood movie, if you're looking for suggestions. Or Family Guy. It's easier to go from animation to animation, then live to animation.

svang your ridiculously good at this, very funny. I'm going to have to give it a whirl and see what I can come up with

The Hellboy is very nice. I may have to try this soon.
Nice Aro Cam.
