Good looking combo there, Bob! The azuls (blue) and the 'barred shelter's (red) make a very nice color contrast... I like those colors too myself!

those cichla's are amazing looking.. i love the blue colouration in their fins. SWEET

yeah those cichlas are some of the best, no doubt.
I've heard nasty stories about the distichodus - pecking other fish to death and pecking their eyes etc.

Not experienced any of that?

thanks. these were the first azuls to enter US aquarium and were exported from japan.
