i had two.. now i have one. long story, but the girls were battling over who's turn it was to lay eggs, or eat the eggs, i'm not sure.. and one didn't survive the battle.
other than that, i love having snooks and i'm looking for more. preferably a male this time so that i might actually get some babies about of all this egg laying that's been going on.. lol.

theyer wonderful... untill they start breeding and something atempts to swim past them. But if you keep them in a tank by themselves or in a realy big tank theyre wonderful. Mine were realy shy at first, but they over came it pretty quick and theyer a blast to feed... not to mention beutiful. I have two, somehow lucked out enough to get a male and a female as the last two Petsmart had left when their fish went to 75% off at the store near here, so now that theyer grown up I just got my first sucsessful breeding and am trying to find people to sell the babies to (once they reach a couple inches) so I can finance a bigger tank for the parrents... and maby some of the babies :-D

i want MORE.. and a male too.. they are amazing fish. Maybe if i'd known what i know now about snooks i may not have sunk so much money into cichla.. maybe not..
Ie currently got 4 i had 12 at one time a big male at 15" and some at 8-9" very peaceful cichlids i keep them with rays.
will, there is a green or regular colored variety.. they are cool fish too.. but red bay snooks RULE!!!!!
