mate they are sweet JD's.
For some stupid reason only knows of, many people on here are starting to think that just coz they aint seen a particular mark or colour on a fish, they think its a Hybrid!! really getting on me tits now!! just coz a fish is slightly different does NOT mean its a bloody hybrid!! rant over.

Sweet JD's mate. gonna go and get me one this weekend now lol :nilly:

breed 2 red bellied jds, and see if the fry come out like them

Oddly this post came up, my JD which is relatively colorless, belly just turned red in the last few days (perhaps the end times are near), however, I'm 99% certain that my male is in breeding colors, because him and a feamle Jag are getting it on, quite interesting. Jack Jags, or Jag Dempseys.... For all the purist out there, me being one of them, these will not be released to anyone, but I'll keep a few and see what happens.....

Hey Scottfree,

If you check out my post "Jag with swollen Papilla" you'll see that my Jag and JD have mated also! I am not positive if the eggs are fertile or if they will hatch, but they're on day 2 and are a pink color. If they hatch i'll take some pics for you! There's pics of both parents on that other thread too. My JD doesn't have a red belly though. He's actually the "panic pale" color lately, i think because the Jag won't let him near his eggs!

Damn, keep me abreast......

I have seen those before around here, they have a pinkish/reddish coloring around the stomach area. I don't beleive they're hybrids, must be of where they were collected from or line bred as they are alot better looking than the normal colored JDs ever all.
