Red belly or Pacu?

piranha, but ur title is missleading, both pacus and piranhas can be "red belly" lol

Try the goldfish test... Get a goldfish the size of your piranha (yes, its a red belly..) and see what happens.. An RBP will shred it to bits in about 10 min.. but not the pacu.. they can't kill a fish as big as themselves easily.. and sometimes not at all... I know, I tried... Anyway, its a good specimen.

That's not true, I personally had a pacu in with an arowana and it ate half of the aro.....It will absolutely eat a feeder I have seen it many times........but that is definetly a piranha, notice the lower jaw extends farter plus the teeth, that's how i notice ........

i've also seen p's run away from feeders
