Right now my pacu is a foot long, and I just got a new 240 (8,2,2ft) gallon for him and his other tankmates. The other fish that he is with is an oscar and jag. I have a 1 inch occelaris that will later be going in with them once it gets bigger. I also wanted to add a arowana to the tank eventually, probably silver.

My question is what is the absolute longest and biggest i can have him in the 240. I need him to stay in there as long as possible.

Ill try to get some pics up eventually. Right now hes not in the 240 yet, so when i get them all in and the tank situated ill post some pics. Also thanks for the info.

The tanks a DIY plywood tank, but its not completely finished yet, so the fish are not in right now. Ive been looking for a big tank for a long time, but its pretty hard to find one on the island. Making a plywood tank is probably the easiest and cheapest way to go out here. Also since my dad works with surfboards its super easy to get resin and fiberglass.

If your in hawaii, dig him a pond outside!!!! If i lived somewhere warm i'd dig a moat around my house!

He could stay in there for a year or two till he around 24'' then its time to start digging a back yard pond :)
