Making a plywood tank is probably the easiest and cheapest way to go out here. Also since my dad works with surfboards its super easy to get resin and fiberglass.

Why not build one that is big enough?
 
do you know if pike cichlids are legal to import to hawaii or do you know of anyone having any for sale or owning one. never seen one in aquarium shops here
