I use a combination of UGF with a water circulating pump. And I do 50% water changes everyday. But if you plan having a heavily planted tank, you can go easy on the water change coz I believe the plants do quite a good job.

I guess my plants have made the piranhas less skittish. They swim up to the front and eat while I'm sitting in front of them with lights on. And I use a powerhead, which makes them go crazy swimming against the current after a nice meal.
Can anybody please tell me how exactly do these creatures behave in a shoal of 6+. I'm worried about if they'll have any territorial issues and fight against each other. I was told that piranhas when kept in large numbers do not fight for territory. Is this true?
