do theses snakes make good pets? are they friendly?

Hatchlings are usually fiesty but their teeth are not big enough to hurt you. If handled regularly they will calm down. All 5 of my bulls are tame and do not bite me. But I have one that still puts on a great show hissing and rattling her tale.

Update. Here is the first of the clutch. I will get better pics later. I did not want to stress the little guys.

Congrats man!!!! They are cute as hell!! Will they eventually redden up like the parents or will they stay as is?

They redden up with age. Each shed the will become more red.

Awesome little snakes.

Bull Snakes always had the reputation of being pretty nasty with a hefty bite. I guess breeding them has helped their disposition a lot.

They can put on a show but generally do not bite. The older they get the more they calm down. I think the reputation comes from w/c specimens. They are definatley not ball pythons but ball pythons are not for me. I like my snakes to have a strong personality and move around.

I think it's cool. Breeding has helped make several species easier to deal with . Bull snakes, Hognose that actually eat well, Ball Pythons that actually eat well, retics that don't try to bite your head off-all results of captive breeding.
