Finally moved them to a 140, they are showing some color finally again, this is not breeding dress, that is WAY different. Tell me what you think, except for the dirty glass

Thanks for looking,

Your ceibals look great! How large do they have to be before coloring up? Mine are about 2". One shows almost no barring and the other has the black barring but no color otherwise.

Never though much about them, but those are great looking fish Broheim. They have definitley caught my eye now though!!!!

Amazing colors! They look big too.

3 males?

I think 3 males, I believe that the females show more black barring, when I picked them up, it was too hard to tell, my other two may be females.

Thanks! These ones are F1, between 4"-5", I didn't notice that they had put color on, they were in a tank full of driftwood and the water was quite dark. Sounds like you have a pair :)

Thanks! I didn't think about them before either, now I have to see if I can get em to spawn.

Mine spawn after a water change on the slate base of a piece of driftwood. The female changes color first... then the male. They started breeding at about 2-3" and spawn every 2-3 weeks. Bad parents, though. The Gymnogeos and tetras in the tank always seem to get the babies...
