I think you can mix Cherry Reds with Crystal Reds safely? But will have to wait for some one to confirm...

yes u can put red cherry shrimp and crystal shrimps together. Right now i have around 30 red crystal in my 10gal and with alot of red cherry shrimp and its hard to keep the crystal alive becz of the ammonia and the water quality has to b right just for the red crystal to stay alive.
u have to remember some shrimps die faster from ammonia and water quality. thats the reason why everyone starts out red cherry shrimps becz they are easy and can handle almost anything.

and when u get the shrimps never feed them shrimp pellets all the time.. 1 pellet then after 3 days u feed them again.. those three days u can give them boil carrots or boil cucumbers stuff like that.. just not too much or those triangle head worm thingys...i call them sperm worms -____-.
if u have too much of those worms they will attack ur shrimp and eat them in and out and even try to kill other fry. when u c those worm try cleaning the tank or try trapping them in a ball like i do and take them out.

Thanks man! cant wait to meet u and get my first group of red cherries! now im still trying to decide what to breed in the tank with em to try and make a little more money =) that chart made it really clear! 
just start with red cherry shrimp first becz everything takes time u know and if i have alot of crystal shrimp ill give u 2 free and let u understand how hard it is to handle them. but since u doin 20g long tank it will b okay but remember to add plants for ur tank it will look beautiful and it will help out ur tank and shrimp all around. try not to add plastic stuff u might regret it later on. try to make a planted tank ...u'll have a hole different feeling on ur tank.
