General answer: they are aggressive, grow large quite fast, color gets better with age/size, they appreciate clean water (like any fish)
if you get it locally at a pet shop its likely will be a midas/rd hybrid nothing wrong with that. they will change color morph through out their life span, typical color is creamsicle/orange/spots of white, very outgoing fish, one of the meanest cichlids, can be a glass banger, if provided clean water/quality food they will grow a big head...etc.
