  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Oh man lol well so far he's the most peaceful one in te tank, and te jag gill flares and stuff but the devil just ignored him. So hopefully they'll be okay

Lol it just proves the saying "men who know how to fight, and fight well, choose not to", that my jiu jitsu trainer burned into our brains. The rd will fight back as soon as there is a reason to, and the jag will regret every little gill flare.

If you prefer the jag over the red devil, then I'd be concerned. If you prefer the rd, you're good to go. Jags are nasty with some impressive teeth, but a male rd hits like Mike Tyson, especially when you're pushing 15-16" and beyond.

You got that right about the RD, one of mine that was pushing 14+ inches banged the glass so much the tank sprung a leak.

Yeah as stated territories at both ends of the tank with the middle heavily cluttered might be your best bet. That line of site break will be needed as they mature.

And actually the Oscar might work as a large target/dither. Or... Might just be killed, ya never really know with these guys until the mature and snap.

My rd flipped his switch at about 7-8" and was pure evil.

Yeah, I had an RD terrorize a 125 while he was only 4 inches long.

It's definitely hit or miss though, I've had success with keeping a jag in a community but never a RD. I'm actually a little envious when seeing pics and youtube videos of them in a community.

Well thanks, he's about 4 MAYBE 4 and a half, oscar pretty much the sme. Jag maybe 3 and 3/4 lol so far the only aggression is the oscar trying to fin nip the devil when he gets to close. Ill keep updated :)

Yea that was pretty much what we thought would happen. It was most likely the rd, since jags don't usually grow a set till at least 8". Oh well at least it was the Oscar, oscars can take a good beating and survive.
