I'm looking for a wet pet and thought either a midas or red devil or hybrid of the two would fit the bill.

Might seem crazy but they are hard to come by in the uk atm, i can order red devil but can't find a male midas.

My question is if there is any different personality wise between the two, i know most are not a pure breed but i still wondered.

Also are wild caught fish more shy than tank bred fish?

To my understanding all amphs are pretty personable.
I have a midevil and he is the coolest had him almost 2 years now.

I am in UK and just got one today, about 4 inch. I don't think you will find a pure breed of either here. Both are very similar.

Just outside Boston, got 6 left biggest is about 6 smallest about 3 inch

Where are you in the UK?

I'd just ask your LFS to order one in

All depends on the individual fish, but they're very similar in personality.

I'd say Midas are a bit more of a wet-pet, they tend to be nastier too from my experience.

But really, there little to no difference and it depends on the fish itself. Good luck!
