RED DEVIL ATTACKING REFLECTION!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
He probably doen't see his relection unless you have something for the light to reflect off of. He sees out of the tank just like you see in. If there is nothing for him to see his reflection on, he is probably attacking you. Most red devils do that sort of thing. My late RD even "attacked" my dogs.
Your red devil can see a slight reflection if the room is dark when you turn on the tank lights, so turn on the room lights first. Do you feed him when you turn the lights on? His behavoir might be related to atticipating the food as well.
Dont worry, he won't hurt himself.

haha ok...im not gonna argue wat he is attacking but mine attacks the dog as well lol its funny as hell...but as long as he wont hurt himself then its all good

YES MOST DEVILS HAVE AN ATTITUDE...:D:D:D i have been keeping devils for a few years now and never saw one get injured from the glass banging..except for a sore on their mouth from constantly bumping the same spot..

Ive had my red devil in my tank for a while now and whenever i turn on the light he goes nuts and trys to kill his reflection...it looks like he could hurt himself but form what i can see he has not done in damage to himself yet. Do i need to worry about him hurting himself and if so, then what can i do about it?

lol your devil attacks it's reflection when the lights are on?
my oscar and barred midas go crazy on their reflection when the lights go OFF.
my oscar starts to flare her gills and shake her tail like a raddalsnake haha.
it's interesting to watch
she tires herself out though!
