Red Devil - August 18th

I am not sure, I did not get him from a reputable breeder or anything. Just went to visit a fish store one day and saw bunch of Red Devil fry, or at least the sign said Red Devil, and he was the biggest one out of all of them, so I took him home. About 6" right now.
nice fish vitaly . how long have ya had it now. had any agression problems out of it yet? my midas fry thats varred still has its bars. cant wait to see it as big as yours
He is a bastard! He was in a 55 gallon tank with a Flowerhorn, Green Terror, and two Convicts. When they were young they had no problem getting along and had enough room in a 55. My Convicts ended up killing the Green Terror one night when they laid eggs. I decided to move out the Convicts and upgrade Flowerhorn and Red Devil to a 75 but when I did that.. in a new tank while dividing up territory they started to fight and the Devil killed the Flowerhorn. I tried bunch of different fish with him in a 75 but he was not having it, he took over... so I moved him back into a 55 by himself. I am thinking once he will reach 10" mark, Ill get him a 125 and will put a female in there.WckedMidas said:

mybe instead of trying to add just a single or two more fish with him you could try adding like 4 with him. then the aggression will be devided up between all the fish and he wont single nobody out in the tank. just a thought,
In my 75 i cant add any more cichlids either tho. every time i do my jags and my pollen get together and tag team the new cichlids its crazy.
Was it orange when ya got it or was it a barred one when ya picked it up

You know, I traded all my other fish for him, I love this guy. I really do not care anymore, I just want to get him a larger tank and put a female with him to be happy (I put in one of my Convict females there once in a while when the male gets to aggressive and the Red Devil just loves 'em! Plays with them and never attacks) and will let 'em breed like crazy.WckedMidas said:
He was all yellow when I got him but he went through his phases where he started getting all kinds of black spots allover his fins and body. Went back to being Yellow, we'll see what he will turn to in the future.
Id love to get him a female that is all striped.
