I've had a few f2 midas that were completely barred.. Then one day they started peeling. It sucks, next time I have the room I'll have to go with f0's or f1's. Until then I have saggitae which are more unique anyways.

from what I know midases only stay barred when they're closely related to the wild.
Hey sorry i didnt give you guys an update sooner. Ive been busy working but i got some pictures for you guys. The eggs were fertilized 
. Its been 2 weeks since they hatched and i took these the day after they hatched. I put them in a 10 gallon yesterday because i noticed the male had ate a few. I would say i easily have around 40-50 fry. Im gonna take some more picture soon. They are growing super fast.
