red devil breeding with???

Leading up to this you never saw any per-spawn activity/courtship/fighting? Anything? Any other fish recently removed?

i noticed some flesh hanging from my oscars mouth about a month ago, but thats been the closest thing to fighting ive seen in this tank. and ive cleaned the tank atleast 3-4x since then, and moved the pot around without the devil doing anything. it has however, been about 2 weeks since last cleaning thats to work schedule.

but unless its feeding time, my devil hangs out in her giant pot, and the oscar just swims around with the pacu's midwater. the jd's never go near the devil. and last removel was a big 10" male devil that suddenly died about 2 months ago

and thanks for answering my dumb questions. as i said, never had eggs actually make it to hatching without becoming gourmet caviar.

Strange no pair bonding, head shaking, or lip locking seen.
I honestly don't know without guessing what she (I assume) mated with. Once your fry begin to swim on their own transfer some to your 10 gal. I for one would like to see how they turn out. I wish you luck sir! Get up some pics please!!!!!!!
