Red Devil Color Change??

Now before you tell me he's fat, Realize that Fish resemble their keepers.........I mean he just ate like the piggy he is! :screwy:

his coloration has nothing to do with water conditions. it is just a young fish that is going through one of its color changes. its completely normal, and will happen probably atleast one more time.

Exactly. Could go away and come back or could take a while to go through it's color change through growth.

Absolutely great looking fish! Perfectly normal. Nothing wrong with it at all....

yeah i'd have to agree with rest about his colors, because he is still purty small. they commonly change wile growing. however, i've personally never seen one go from white -yellow/orange-then black. usually start out dark/brown with some black lines or such, then work into a orange/white color. so go figure. ;)

sorry but i still gonna stick with my original post about this. as well as what i added. :D
 
red devils are one of my favorite fish and i've had alot and its just natural. I had one at about that sizeand i got it because it was a pure deep deep orange color with no blotches at all just perfect, but just his on his lip (literally only the lips) was pitch black, but he lost the "lipstick" in less than a week, with no other color changes and is still now perfectly healthy

Color Update-

Well did a 33% WC last night followed by 5 quick Jagers. :hypnotize

My bad boy is looking blacker (darker) by the minute! and even @ his small size, reacts to me and 1 of my Kids (everyone else he stays away) Dances like a champ every time I come into the room! Incredible! :popcorn:



I am actually hooking up with duckman and going to do a group order from Rapps. I love this fish so much I might add a barred midas like the one repair STOLE from me poor unspecting hands! :swear: (JK)
