Its not about what you want tho is it lol, besides you could do a female and probably a few pleco. raphael cats, heck most of the time they'll ignore non cichlids too. I respect someone more when the dedicate a tank to one fish although I am a hypocrite. The devils personality will shine through living alone and he will become hyper dominant!-)

Thank you. His personality is what makes it worth keeping a single fish. Watching him completely redecorate the tank moving gravel, and interact with me every time I come into the room is great! This fish knows me and knows that the tank is his. I'm stoked for when he gets real big. They are truly something to look at. And yes...he'll beat other fish down haha **** I don't even like getting to close sometimes. It's the fun in it all. Challenging and exciting.
