What makes you say it's a female, if I saw this i would've thought male, although I'm new to these fish

It's basically next to impossible to visually sex a midevil/midas/red devil.

If there is something ive learned over the years if keeping midevil an midas is that unless you vent you can never really know by looking at it. Unless the male at 5-6" has an obvious hump and i do mean obvious. Females get humps and they have long flowing fins. Dont go by this. There is nothing about the fish pictured that tells me anything about its sex.
