i've currently got a male green terror but my lfs is getting some red devils in about 2 weeks time, i originally wanted a red devil but couldn't find one so went with the green terror which i've been happy with so far.
i just wanted peoples opinions on which would make the better wet pet ,most interactive etc. :)

I've got a red devil and think he's amazing! but funny enough when i first started my tank i wanted a green terror. IMO i'd keep your green terror and see how things work out with you two, i've definitely learned its amazing how things turn out and your green terror could rapidly become your favorite as my red devil did. beyond that if you've got a large enough tank and they're both relatively small you could try keeping them both together. my LFS has told me several times that they'd have lots of luck of getting otherwise aggressive fish to get along by raising them together from extremely small

I have to say that Red Devils show a lot of interaction as well as aggression. It depends on how you want to house your fish too. A Green Terror is generally more accepting of tank mates while RD can be highly intolerant of any other fish. In larger aquariums RD can be kept with others sometimes. Green Terrors are commonly kept with other fish. I have a Midas/RD and I wouldn't trade him for anything. But he is a real bruiser even at 7.5". He lives alone. He is highly territorial even to the point that he tries to chase people (and dogs) away from the area around his tank.

What size tank do you have?

If you got a 55 gallon I would say you would struggle with both together. If you got a 135+ you could try the 2 together. It would give them at least 72in X 18in footprint. It still may not work but you never know.

Green Terrors are just a flat out beautiful fish. Red Devils can develop almost a surreal personality that you wouldn't expect from a fish. It is a very tough call.

I am doing well with a highly aggressive CA/SA tank right now, but I know at anytime it could fall apart. It is a risk you may decide is worth taking...just beware of the consequences.
