Red Devil or Mixed???

I got this cichlid at Petsmart about 2 weeks ago. He was labled as a red devil. I keep reading on here that most red devils that are sold are actually a mix between midas/rd. I am hoping that is the case with this one, because I am aiming for just a little bit less agression so he can live with tank mates. He is about 3 inches and has the best personality in a fish I have ever seen. He is really a keeper. Here are some pics. They are not the best of quality, but can anyone look at them and speculate on whether it is a mix or 100% rd? Thanks

P.S. He is in a 125 gallon tank with a fluval fx5. His tank mates include:

2 Jack Dempseys
1 Texas
1 Jag
1 Convict
1 Green Terror

yeah, petsmart is known to sell midevils.

edit: both of my guys came from petsmart lol one was bought as a "midas" and the other was bought as a "red devil" lol
 
Looks like your so called " Midevil". ;)
I didn't get mine from petsmart, but my biggest RD @ 3" had some black that completely faded as he grew.
Keep us posted with pix, I'd luv to see how this guy/gal turns out.
 
Yes I'll keep you guys updated. His colors are brighter than what the pics show. It will be intresting to see how he changes colors in the comming months. More importantly his agression level.
