Its possible, but I don't know how probable. I'd try just putting large # of them together separated by sex and see what happens.

They should be nice red fish our rd and bp fry as both of these fish are fairly dark orange I don't know if our rd will get paler or not though he is about7 inches now and still orange some I have seen are almost pink or white. I was hoping crossing the bp with a rd might help increase the fertility in the male offspring seeing as the bp is supposed to be part rd hope I'm right.
Well I won't find out this time I think dad had the munchies oh well he is just young and if I know her she will breed again within a couple of weeks.
this is a fairly common cross at least in the hybrid world, as mentioned earlier in the thread you will get babies that vary between both parents, the most valuable of these (when looking from a hybrid keeper point of view) would be the King Kong Parrot-like babies if you produce any, and of course the more red they are the better. A fellow hobbyest has a really nice male looks mostly like a parrot but with big head which the red devil side helped with, good luck 
Cool. Yeah, in the pair I mentioned earlier the same thing happened to me last night (dad had the munchies). They are young though, so I'm hoping for the best. This was an interesting thread for me though because the same things happening here
