Red devil questions?

Yup thats what I have and its not one of the older tanks. It was made 3 years ago.

My 65 was wider front to back than a standard 55, deeper too but I think it was only 36" wide. I think 1 Red Devil at 8-10" in a 55 to 65 gallon would be fine. That's just my opinion though, if its all you have? Run it! If you have a bigger tank? Run that.
 
I have a 125 gallon for my red devil. It is just the red devil and a huge pleco in a 125. I would prefer to be able to atleast keep a pair in a thank that size. Its funny because everytime I upgrade tank size then people find a way to suggest that the bigger tank is too small to keep what I want in it. Idk know who or what to believe but IMO its crazy that I can only keep one fish in a 125 gallon tank

It really depends on the fish. A 125 for a pair of midevil is workable with a lot of cover.

How hard would it be to spot a female red devil? If that would be to challenging, then what other species could a red devil pair up with? What are some tips to picking a female of those species?
