Your trimac are amazing!! I saw the other video (of the two males fighting), they both have really cool finnage.
How old is the male you currently have? And what do you feed him? You should get him a female:)

Thanks! The two of them came from TUIC when they were so small that I couldn't tell what species they were (Except for the TUIC packing slip) and that was about 1 year ago, so I'd put them at 14 months, maybe 15 right now.

I mainly feed him Hikari cichlid gold and Omega One cichlid pellets, but the only lfs that carried the omega one is going out of business, so I will have to start ordering buckets of NLS. Who on here uses it? Does it live up to the hype??

What do you suppose the chances of them living together in an 8 foot are?? Maybe if another fish or two were there so they weren't constantly fighting with each others? Then again, maybe that would lead to the demise of the other fish pretty quick.

Anybody reading this thread have success sticking a few bruisers that are already older together in a large enough tank? Or must I keep these guys in seperate 75 gal's forever and start fresh when I get an 8 footer?

I am currently using NLS, though I am using it more for "variety" in the pellets than anything else. Color-wise I *did not* see any difference between NLS and Hikari Gold, so if thats your only concern I would say you can continue using Hikari.

You're guys are pretty big already, but theres that other thread where some guy overstocked his 350g and it's working. Maybe that'll work for you; if not, then you get to buy a bunch of new fish :)
