Red Devil?

i have one exactly the smae looking, was in the flowerhoern tank at 1". he looked odd so i bought him. he started off dark like a flowerhorn fry. but now at 3" he looks identical to yours. he fades more and more each day. cant wait to see him grown. ill get some pics also.

Post some pics! I'd love to check yours out as well. The LFS where I got mine initially had him listed as a Flowerhorn as well BUT, after I enquired about it they relisted him as a Red Devil...His priced dropped from $20 to $8 so my questioning paid off.

i wud say its a rd. all tha juvy rd i ever had were that color with tha blak. then they lost that black. i wud say its a red devil brotha

he is loosing the black really fast and looking more n more like a devil, which i really dont mind. here he is yours should be changing fast at this stage also, i swear 2 weeks ago he had almost half his body black like yours. keep us updated on your kinda neet to see them grow out.

They are very similar & everyone was right, they are going through the "peeling" now.

Here are a couple of pics that I took this morning. Big difference just in the last 11 days. I still haven't named mine yet..I guess I am waiting to determine if it is male or female although my initial thoughts are male. I hope so
