i heard yellow labs arent that aggressive but mine chases everything i have in the tank jaguar 4 inch black convict 5 inch and hap 8inch. is it because the yellow lab was put in first??? the yellow lab is 5 inch
I assume that this is probably a 55gal. If the Jag survives, things will certainly change in the coming weeks. Jags drastically outgrow Yellow Labs. They can grow to 14"+. As the Jag matures it will take on a more dominant behavior since they are very territorial cichlids. The Red Devil will also grow to at least 12" and as it matures it will not tolerate being bullied. RDs are very aggressive especially to fish that constantly challenge them in small tanks. The Lab has the upper-hand now because of its size and temporary pecking order. But one day it will end up torn and tattered behind a pile of rocks...if the Jag and RD survives the coming weeks. I hope that either this is a large tank or you have another available to house the Jag and RD. The RD and Jag will not play nice with each other in a small tank either. Good Luck.
