Red Devil

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
yeah a single devil can be kept in a 55 for a while ..they dont grow that fast

If you have room for 55 then why not 75?They are the same lengh only 75 is wider

because i've drawn 55 as the limit for right now. i could just say screw it all and get a 5,000 gallon pond, but nope currently 55 gallon tank is the most i'm putting in my room (well technically with that my room would have 95 gallons of tank in it)

For one fish, I think that an Aquaclear 110 would be just fine. I think those are pretty good hang on filters since you can clean easily and choose different media, almost like a canister.

AC110 would work IMO. I have 2 on my 90 = GREAT filters:headbang2

Also have you looked into Green Terror's? One might work in a 55, and they have great color and personality. I'd say 55 is min size for them tho

um,,,,yea a reddevil would be fine in a 55 gallon tank.dont worry about it.

A 60 is taller, not wider than a 55.

Either way, a rd will do well ina 55 for at least a year, and for life. If you want a bigger tank, he will be better off, but a 55 works well.

hmmmm, i'll just have to see what my lfs has in stock after i get the tank.

right now i'm looking at getting a NICE looking one, with full stand and it even has this black box-ish thing on the side that hides the filter. The guy is a carpenter and made the stand himself, and it looks gorgeous.
...but it is probably going to cost me $175 delivered if he delivers to me.

Back to topic, if i have to have 1 fish in the tank, i'd rather have a Jack Dempsey or Red Devil then a Green Terror, but there is always the Severum/Delhezi combination.

anyway, lets see how these look lol:

If you want a red devil get a 75 it costs roughly the same and its like 6" wider so it doesnt really take up much space. Anyways if you really are set on the 55 then i would suggest no devil.

What about an Electric Blue Jack Dempsey they get to about 10" and a bit less aggressive then a regular Jack Dempsey. I have one and they are beautiful.
