I never owned a RD, but I had a Jag. It was kind of aggressive, but I always hear more about RD aggression than Jags.

Aggression and brutal ability are two separate things. The RD may be more aggressive and harrassing but when the Jag has finally had enough of his BS, the RD will get owned. Seen it with my own eyes. My former Jag killed my bad a** barred midas and later an awesome RD.

I think balton777 put it pretty aptly.
The Rd will be constant in its attacks and aggression... but a same size Jag will eventually lose its cool and put an end to everything.... including a mean RD!

Personalities of individual fishes will give different results though.

really depends on the Personality of the fish, for e.g. Texas are normally mean fish? I have a 11" one which wouldn't hurt a fly, he's in a tank with fry everywhere (not his fry, and the parents of the fry aren't in there as well)

But, I think the jags would naturally dominate the red devils, but as said, depends on the personality of your fish :)

i agree with you.... everyfish is different personality...

It all depends on the fish. My 12" male midas has killed 2 jags in the last 2 years. One was 13" and the other 10". Both males. Does that mean that all rd's/midas are going to kill a similar sized jag? No, it just means that it depends on the fish's temperament. Some fish are hyper aggressive and some aren't. Just cause you have seen one jag kill a rd doesn't make it fact that all jags are going to "own" all rd's.
I see your a parachromis fan so your opinion is bias!

ive had a jag snap and go berserk on a midas an killed it quite quickly

lol you are correct.

I don't know about that I have only had one Jag that was dominant the rest were weak-Jags can't take beatings they get black and don't eat where as a RD will bide it's time-I had a 1032 pond with Trimac who at the time was the king, a RD, Black Belt, Escondido, Female Dovii, and a two foot CK-the Red Devil one day went crazy and killed my Trimac and almost killed everyone else-I recently in the past 8-9 months have bought 3 Jags and they all died within a month-the last one wasn't even harassed that much and still died-Overrated if you ask me.

Too be honest I used to love Jag but now I am annoyed with them-no matter how large or how many I buy they get punked and die.
