Grow like weeds I went out of town for a week and come back and they have noticeable growth. That's crazy.

same with my trimacs man - I have a female that has doubled in size in 3 weeks - must be an amphilophus thing.

My midas went from 2" to 12" in a year. Then kept growing till he hit the 14-15" mark.

They have growth spurts when they are young...but as they get older the growth rate slows alot.. it takes years to really be a big size....usually.. there are always exceptions... but that is not the norm

Yeah mine did too. Fastest growing fish I have. He was the smallest and in one month is the biggest.

I've only had mine about a week so havent seen any growth but this fish puts away some pellets. He tries to eats like 8 at a time.

I got my pair at about 2" each, they are now 4" after a little over 3 weeks.
