They are owner-interactive fish, often very aggressive, to the point of charging the glass to try and fight off people, dogs, cats etc .
They also often love to dig in the substrate, creating a lovely moonscape ion your tank !
So, if all that appeals to yo, and you have at least a 75G tank, then a RD could be perfect !
Another poster, above, compared them to flowerhorns. In my experience (having kept 2 x midas/RD's and 4 x FH's), FH's are just as owner-interactive but not quite so territorially aggressive, although they are very, very similar really. The only barking mad, "kill everything that went near" fish I had was a RD though.
Oh, aggressive adults may well also attack your hands when you do tank maintenance, and are quite capable of drawing blood.
