Micro x Lepomis do produce offspring, but I've never once heard of a crappie/bass hybrid..Until I see published/confirmed reports I will stick to my guns with it being not possible
Pomo. Micro. Lepo. Amblo. Centr. and Acant. are all close enought in theroy to produce off spring.

dude, i just had to copy this pic!!!!! sweet!!!!! ok, any pics of the fish?:headbang2

They can technically cross, but I find the idea of that cross occuring in the wild pretty unlikely.

So yeah, post pics, and we'll see if this isn't maybe just a type of sunfish that you're not familiar with.

so funny, eh not really.

Wasn't meant to be funny. Just because you add a "in theory" in there doesn't make your statement seems any less ridiculous...
You lobbed close to if not all members of a taxonomic family together and said oh yeah they should all be able to breed....
Genus I might have found more believable but a whole family order?

Well, there are actually records of Pomoxis and Lepomis species hybridization. The fry don't have as high a success rate.

Catching an adult cross of these two species I find to be highly unlikely, but not impossible.

because species of the same family have been proven to crossbreed. Here is a wild cross for you Phractocephalus hemioliopterus South american redtail catfish X Pangasius sanitwongsei Paroon shark. Two different fish from different places in the world yet they can produce offspring :naughty:.
