Therefore, Redeye, Guadalupe and Suwanee bass are better canditates for smaller tanks than LMB, SMB, MMB, spotted and shoal bass. Wish there are more breeders/ hatcheries to breed these mini bass for the aquarium purposes.
well, shoal bass are endangered, so take that off your list

Ingredients
  • 2/3 c. orange juice
  • 1 small carrot - grated
  • 1 tsp. minced ginger
  • 1 tbsp. plus 1 tsp. butter
  • 1 tsp. soy sauce
  • 1 c. stuffing mix
  • 1 green onion - chopped
  • 2 fillets of bass (8 oz. each)
Directions Preheat oven to 275. Heat most of the orange juice (reserve a tablespoon or so), carrots, 1 tbsp. butter, soy sauce, and ginger until it boils. Stir in stuffing mix and onion. Let stand 5 minutes, then fluff with a fork. Place the fillets in a baking dish you can cover. Spoon half of the stuffing mixture onto half of each fillet. Fold the fillets over to loosely enclose the stuffing. Pour the remaining orange juice over the fillets and place a dot of butter on each. Place in oven for 6 minutes, turn, then heat for another 4. (An alternative is to put in the microwave for 3 minutes on high.) Garnish with a twist of orange or lemon peel.

From the Florida fishing regs:

5 Black bass (largemouth, Suwannee, spotted, and shoal bass, individually or in total), only one of which may be 22 inches or longer in total length.
  • In south Florida (see map): only one bass may be 14 inches in total length or longer.
  • South and east of the Suwannee River (see map): black bass less than 14 inches in total length must be released immediately.
  • In the Suwannee River (see map), areas north and west of the Suwannee River, and in any tributary river, creek or stream of the Suwannee River: black bass less than 12 inches in total length must be released immediately.
This does limit take of shoal bass, because they occur in the third area and seldom pass 12 inches. But they are not prohibited from take.

Nah they are not federally Endangered species, juse species of special concern. That means I can breed them to build their numbers up..so I see no reason to take shoal bass off my list through they will grow too big in aquariums as I never said that I will breed these shoal bass in any post, read carefully next time.
