Red eyes

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Finally. First straight response.
They all eat the same food so I'm ruling out diet. Sign of health....okay.....red means bad or good? Thinner ones seem to have redder eyes.

You're right my apologies, shouldn't have derailed thread with an irrelevant comment. My 2 cents is that my orino always had red eyes while he was growing, and he went through a variety of different color phases based on his dominant status in the tank. As of now the kelberi is dominant and the orino is showing quite washed colors with pale eyes and isn't particularly active, but come feeding time his eyes light up.

+1 on the health
my temensis and "kelquiti" has it's on and off days. they have deep red eyes on good days, almost absent when they're stressed (for example, I've been moving them around more than they probably like). also noticed water quality affects it. Perfect or ideal = them dark red eyes :)

though I do vote the hydro comment to be best post of the day
