I'm not sure about this I've heard and seen that red wolves can be in aggressive community set ups.

They can be kept with tankmates the same size or bigger than the red wolf. There can be minor scuffles such as ripped fins.

you'll get more replys from the other characin section.

I would believe in the right set up a group of Red Fin would fish would be fine in a group as the are basically the same fish as the Sp. Peru .I have been keeping in a group of four for quite some time with no issues. The right set up should include dense planting, mild current, and tubes and caves for them to hangout in. Here are some pics of my group...

The last pic looks like alot of the wolves scales were taken off.

No.. Their scales are all there. They color up like that when they are stessed they fade a little and they look like that. They color back up after they stop being stressed.

Red Wolves are fine to keep with other large fish, i have one with an ornate bichir and ive never seen em fight or rip a fin, they lay right next to each other a lot and just chill. Young ones wont except anything not alive in my experience, ive been trying to get mine to eat Massivore pellets but my ornate snaps em up before my wolf fish can meander on ove rto em and check em out. Live feeders are a good bet, Guppies instead of the feeder minnows are a better bet
