I bought some sunset platys to feed my fish today, and I realized that red fish look pretty cool in a tank.

But I can't think of a proper red fish that's freshwater.

Only a betta and they are tiny.

Does anyone know of a RED fish that's freshwater?

And no don't say a super red aro :D I don't have that much cash right now :(

FLAME JEWEL . :D

if you're not looking for something big, a lot of tetras and barbs are red.

Crenicichla sp. 'fire lugubris atabapo'
Crenicichla sp. 'atabapo'
Crenicichla sp. 'tabapos I'
Crenicichla sp. 'cobra'
Crenicichla cincta 'fogo'
Amphilophus festae
Geophagus sp. 'red head tapajos'

and the list goes on and on....;)...each one has a varying degree of red...the pikes are my fav. though....SOOO much red....female festae are FAMOUS for their reds...;)

Thanks for the suggestions. Of all listed above the only one that;'s actually properly red is the red texas. Or a red koi :D

Though I have never seen a red texas, never even heard of it to be honest.
