I took liberty to put the before and after side by side. Since, lighting is the same. Understand the water hasn't settled in yet and semi cloudy. Everyone who has changed substrate before knows that it takes about a day.
BTW- love the biggie indo dat. About 16-17" ?
I really think its the lighting. The red garnet that you have seem to be the same one as mine(exact same sand as mike_sema, got it from him.) Here is some photo of my red garnet sand under different lightings(same camera).

Yeah. I believe the color temp has to do with it. I believe all my photos used 10k bulbs. But the darker photos used less bulbs. Extremely bright/clear photo used an external flash.Thanks Hao for uploading all them pics! Pic 1 and 3 look orange but the rest look red. Why lighting is it? Colour temp?
